Why is Encinitas Village So Popular?
The Coast is Close
Located only one mile from the coast, Encinitas Village is literally minutes away by car (5 min.) or bike (7 min.) from six miles of gorgeous Encinitas shoreline and beaches. On the many stretches of beach located between La Costa in the north and Cardiff-by-the-Sea in the south, the surfing is so outstanding that numerous surfing contest are held on the premises each year.
The Birds are Bountiful, The Flowers are Fabulous
In addition to the beautiful beaches, the nearby San Elijo Lagoon State Marine Conservation Area (9 min.) is the largest coastal wetland in San Diego county and boasts nearly 300 species of birds.
Encinitas is also home to the San Diego Botanical Gardens (2 min.), which feature an Amazon Rainforest and the nation’s largest collection of bamboo. In fact, Encinitas is known by some as the Flower Growing Capital for its thriving flower growing industry, and is close to the ever-popular Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch® (10 min.)
The Golf is Great
The Encinitas Ranch Golf Course (5 min.) is a championship 18-hole par 72 course featuring panoramic ocean views. Also nearby is the Aviara Golf Club (7 min.), an Arnold Palmer 18-hole championship course that is the home of the LPGA Kia Classic and ranked by Golf Digest as the number one golf resort in San Diego county.
The Shopping is Superb
Beyond the convenience of a nearby Costco (11 min.), Walmart (7 min.), Trader Joe’s (5 min.), Sprouts (4 min.) and Whole Foods (4 min.), there is also historic Downtown Encinitas, a coastal shopping district over 100 years old that features quaint shops, sidewalk cafés, and great restaurants set against a backdrop of historic architecture.
Encinitas Village has so much to offer, which is why we're proud to call it our home.
